    Mother’s Day is a week away. As I write the clo Mother’s Day is a week away. As I write the clock is ticking away and in a few short hours I will have arrived at my 20th year of motherhood. The thing I can say is this: there may not be a pause button, but there’s a magical rewind that happens when we look through the pictures and, just for that brief fleeting moment, know.. I was there. I got to be with them. Don’t let those moments pass by. Keep taking the pictures and keep insisting on being in them from time to time. It’s not how you look that matters. It is that you were together. And if you get another precious cutting board or pair of socks on Sunday -bless their hearts they wanted to do something but without you they just don’t know what to do- and buy yourself the gift certificate.
