Sometimes it feels like credit card processing fees are going to drown us but it’s better than check fraud! 🚩🚩🚩

I’m starting a new club for kids who want to learn photography! Do you have a kid that would like to join?

Here we are! It’s the first day of CHD Awareness

Here we are! It’s the first day of CHD Awareness week 2024. If you’re new here, you may not know our story. My long awaited daughter was born in 2011. For the first week of her life things didn’t quite seem right.

On the 8th day I watched her dying on the table with every doctor and nurse in the unit trying to revive her. They ended up performing a 12 hour open heart surgery to save her life.

I got to see her walnut sized heart beating beneath a thin sheet of plastic without the protective benefit of ribs, sternum, and muscle, because she was too swollen after the surgery to close up for the first few days.

IT CHANGED MY WORLD

Now, every year from the 7th-14th of February I join with the countless others around the world to bring awareness to this cause. So many moms like me are being shocked into this new reality with no heads up or preparation. CHD effects 1 in 100 babies. That’s more prevelant than all froms of Juvinile Cancer COMBINED. Every day science tells us there is more hope to be found with more research. So we raise our banners, celebrate our stories, and stand up to be noticed this week, That the parents and children that come after us may be spared even a moment of the pain we have endured.
This week I will share 100 faces with you.
Each one effected by CHD.
