Brothers

This weekend I got to meet these two energetic young men for a quick Mini Session in the park.

Their mom requested a session for them, to celebrate them officially becoming brothers!

We walked through the woods getting to know each other.

We talked about our favorite things.. and all our families have in common. Prodigy math, Lego and general silliness.

I may have told them about how our dining table occasionally becomes MOC central during Lego Convention season…

I asked them to show me their secret bother’s handshake.. but they went through it so fast I didn’t get a chance to memorize.

But the sweetness in their smiles told me all I needed to know about the love that fills this family!

As the mother of 4- including a high schooler, middle schooler, elementary schooler, and preschooler there is never a dull moment around here. Quiet, sometimes, but never dull. Be it ordinary day revelations or dramatic Special Needs parent experiences, or living with AI and Anxiety, there is constantly a story to tell. We need opportunities to remember that we are all shoulder to shoulder trudging along towards the finish line. If only we could reach out to the person next to us and hold hands.
